Faith in Action is a national volunteer movement that brings together volunteers from many faiths and the community. Their mission is to help the elderly, chronically ill and disabled adults maintain their independence and dignity by providing them assistance with everyday activities. Through friendly volunteers, Williamsburg Area Faith in action is able to provide transportation, friendly visiting, reassurance calls, grocery shopping, light housekeeping, and yard work.

Peninsula Agency on Aging is a non-profit organization that provide programs in cooperation with other community agencies in Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, Poquoson, and James City and York counties to assist older Virginians in independent and productive living. The agency is a clearing-house for information, coordinates services, and provide planning and leadership on aging issues.

The Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA) is the oldest and largest organization in the United States representing those who offer meal services to people in need. Since 1976, MOWAA has worked to arm local senior nutrition programs with the resources, tools and information they need to provide meals and make a difference in the lives of our neighbors, our veterans and all of our nation’s seniors who are facing the threat of hunger.
